Feburary 12, 2012

Been searching for job, finally got two interviews set up for this week.  Hopefully something will come of one of them.  Not having been too motivated, and feeling really badly today (ate some beets and stomach did a number on me, plus my ever present allergies had me down until around after 6 pm.  Did the same two mile loop from the back of the Condo.  Warmer, around 36*, and little to no wind.  I spent most of jog trying to spit out phlegm and had a good cough, chocking session after I was done, felt good to get it out of my system.
The basics*****************************************
24:36 time
2.04 miles
12:05 average
170 bpm heartrate avg
lap one: 12:33
lap two: 12:02

For the novice runner, I'd say to give yourself at least 2 months of consistently running several times a week at a conversational pace before deciding whether you want to stick with it. Consistency is the most important aspect of training at this point.

Wednesday, Feburary 1, 2012

Jogged same two mile course again today, didn't feel too badly after missing most of two years of training...can it be that long already?  Was snowing lightly and around 17 degrees (yesterday as well), which is nice relief as January was COLD, we only averaged 2.7 degrees for the whole damn month.  Weird, simple two mile jog yesterday and I got nice and tired around 8:30/9:00 PM, which is good, as I haven't slept for beans in awhile.
The basics ala Garmin 305*************************
26:49 time
2.04 miles
167 heartrate avg.
14:10 lap one
12:40 lap two

Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.

Back from the Dead....as always

January 31, 2012
Back in Anchorage, Alaska, what a relief to be with my love again, not one to be sentimental (yeah right).  Been struggling to find that balance between having adult ADHD and being "normal".  Don't make sense, so what.  It does to me and I'm ready to get back on the horse and slay some Bigfoot (gotta buy me beer to get the background on that one).
The Basics ala my Garmin 305****************
2.03 miles
26:43 time
165 heart rate avg.
lap one 13:51
lap two 12:52
251 calories
Shoes are old, no money for new ones, will make do until I can finance a new pair, hoping my in laws will mail our snow shoes, as this is how I want to train for Feb and Mar and part of April.
